Official welcoming ceremony of President of Kyrgyzstan and Prime Minister of Hungary – photo report
Bishkek, Sept. 04, 2018. /Kabar/. The official welcoming ceremony of Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, who is on a three-day official visit to Kyrgyzstan, took place today, on September 4 in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul oblast. The guard of honor stood in formation in honor of the eminent guest, the flags of the two countries were raised, the national anthems were played, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported. After the ceremony, greeting delegations, Jeenbekov and Orban proceeded to bilateral meeting. The visit of the Hungarian Prime Minister, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, started on September 2. Viktor Orban attended the opening ceremony of the Third World Nomad Games and the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States in Cholpon-Ata as an honored guest, as well as the opening of an ethno-village in Kyrchyn Gorge.
 
III WNG: Kyrgyz national alysh team wins 8 medals
Bishkek, Sept. 04, 2018. /Kabar/. A tournament in alysh wrestling took place yesterday in the Physical Culture and Health Complex in Cholpon-Ata within the Third World Nomad Games. Best alysh wrestlers gathered to compete not only for the medals of the World Nomad Games, but also the title of world champion. In this type of wrestling 145 sportsmen from 35 countries fought for the prizes. The Kyrgyz national team is represented in all twelve weight categories among women and men, the press service of the State Agency for Sports reported. At the end of the competition among men Kyrgyzstani sportsmen won 4 medals: 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. The gold medal was awarded to Esenbek Kudaiberdiev in the weight category up to 80 kilograms. Nevertheless, the bouts of Kyrgyz sportswomen were equally spectacular and successful: now there are four more medals in the Kyrgyz national team’s collection. 1 of them is gold, 2 – silver, and 1 – bronze. The winner is Nurzat Bakhtiyar kyzy. She competed in the weight category up to 65 kilograms. Kyrgyzstan, Hungary strengthen relations by signing two new documents
Cholpon-Ata, Sept. 4, 2018 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Cholpon-Ata town of Issyk-Kul oblas,. During the bilateral dialogue, the sides discussed opportunities for expanding partnership relations, developing political dialogue and interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Following the talks that took place today, on September 4, the President and Prime Minister signed a joint statement, as well as a memorandum of understanding in the field of tourism. Diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary were established on April 16, 1992. Over the past years, the Hungarian government has announced a "policy of openness to the East", which aims to strengthen relations with Russia and China, as well as with the countries of Central Asia.
 
43rd OANA Executive Board Meeting officially opens in Tehran
The official opening ceremony of the 43rd Executive Board Meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) has been held in the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran. IRNA's Managing Director Seyyed Zia Hashemi, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi, AZERTAC Chairman of the Board and OANA President Aslan Aslanov, and Director General of Bulgaria’s BTA news agency Maxim Minchev, who will be chairing the News Agencies World Congress in 2019-2022, made speeches at the meeting. Then the Executive Board meeting began. Director General Russia’s TASS news agency Sergey Mikhailov and first Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman, Director General of Vietnam's VNA news agency Nguyen Duc Loi, Director General of Qatar's news agency QNA Youssef Ibrahim Al-Maliki as well as heads and representatives of Turkey's Anadolu, South Korea's Yonhap, China's Xinhua, Japan`s Kyodo, Mongolia`s Montsame, Bahrain's BNA, Indonesia's ANTARA and Malaysia's Bernama news agencies attended the event. During the meeting, moderated by OANA’s Secretary General Vugar Seyidov, AZERTAC’s proposals on improvement of OANA's activities were discussed. Several news agencies expressed their confidence that these proposals would increase the effectiveness of OANA's activity and agreed to accept them. Addressing the meeting, chief of the international relations department of Yonhap news agency Kim Jin-hyun mentioned that serious preparations are underway for the organization of the 17th OANA General Assembly to be held in Seoul on November 6-9, 2019. The issue of IRNA's OANA presidency in 2022 was also discussed at the meeting. This initiative was approved by the Executive Board members and it was decided to submit the proposal to the OANA General Assembly for voting. VNA’s Director General Nguyen Duc Loi said that the Vietnamese government proposes to hold the OANA Executive Board meeting in Hanoi on April 18-21, 2019. During the meeting, Mongolia’s Montsame news agency expressed its intention to host the OANA Executive Board meeting in Ulan Bator in 2020. Turkey’s Anadolu Agency also expressed its interest in hosting the event.
 
OANA Executive Board members gather in Tehran
The 43rd Executive Board Meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) has got underway in the Iranian capital of Tehran. The meeting will last until September 4. Prior to the meeting, AZERTAC Chairman of Board Aslan Aslanov met with head of Information Technology and Production Department of Mongolian National News Agency Montsame Onan Dashdorj, Director General of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Nguyen Duc Loi, Managing Director of IRNA news agency of Iran Seyyed Zia Hashemi, and Chief of the International Relations Department of Yonhap News Agency of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-hyun. During the meetings, the sides exchanged views on a number of AZERTAC-made proposals on the improvement of OANA's activities. They also agreed on the importance of setting up a commission for establishing the permanent office of OANA's General Secretariat and the Training Academy as well as for ensuring the appropriate use of funding and the organization of photo and other contests. Noting that Mongolia’s Montsame will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2021, Onan Dashdorj asked for assistance in holding the OANA Executive Board meeting in Ulan Bator in 2020. During the meeting with Vietnam News Agency's Director General Nguyen Duc Loi, the sides discussed prospects of cooperation between AZERTAC and VNA. Nguyen Duc Loi said that the Vietnamese government proposes to hold the OANA Executive Board meeting in Hanoi in 2019. AZERTAC Chairman of Board Aslan Aslanov discussed with Managing Director of IRNA Seyyed Zia Hashemi the issue of IRNA`s nomination for OANA’s presidency in 2022. Seyyed Zia Hashemi said he was convinced that AZERTAC Chairman of the Board, President of OANA Aslan Aslanov will provide support to them in this regard. Aslan Aslanov met with chief of the international relations department of Yonhap Kim Jin-hyun. They exchanged views on the expansion of mutual cooperation and information exchange between the two agencies. Kim Jin-hyun mentioned that serious preparations are underway for the organization of the 17th OANA General Assembly to be held in Seoul in 2019. AZERTAC Chairman of Board Aslan Aslanov also met with Director General of Qatar News Agency (QNA) Youssef Ibrahim Al-Maliki. They hailed the development of relations between the two agencies, and discussed future cooperation prospects. OANA President Aslan Aslanov’s proposals were hailed during the meetings as a significant contribution to the improvement of the organization's activities. Officials of the news agencies noted that these proposals will be supported at the Executive Board meeting.
